TRITEC was asked to transform Standard Microsystems Corp.'s headquarters into a World Class corporate facility by renovating the existing 80,000 sf. and building a 116,000 sf. addition.
The facility expansion includes a 10,600 s.f. shipping and receiving area on the east end at the existing facility and a 106,000 s.f. 2 story office addition on the west side of the existing facility. The two story addition has incorporated a dramatic 3 story atrium with a granite wall spanning the building from front to rear.
This complicated and challenging project was constructed while keeping SMSC’s current operation running 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
This project was awarded the CMAA 2006 Project of the Year Award.
